Scholarships and Grants

Academic Scholarships

Don Bosco Prep offers generous academic scholarships to incoming freshmen. Our main merit-based award is called the Savio Scholarship. In addition to the general admission requirements, a student wishing to apply for a Savio Scholarship must submit an additional essay.

If applied for and awarded, academic scholarships will be available on the applicant’s online account at the time of initial acceptance. Academic scholarship amounts are determined annually based on the fiscal budget and the number of eligible applicants.

Academic awards are renewable each year, provided the student can maintain a weighted GPA of 93 per year as well as no final course grade below 80 and an exemplary discipline record while at Don Bosco Prep. Any student who fails to adhere to these criteria may forfeit his scholarship for the remainder of his time at Don Bosco Prep.

Brother’s Grant

Don Bosco Prep offers a tuition reduction in the form of the Brother’s Grant for families who have two or more sons attending at the same time. The Brother’s Grant credits $500 to the account of one sibling at Don Bosco Prep. If three or more siblings are attending Don Bosco Prep at one time, each sibling receives a $500 reduction in tuition.

SFIC (Scholarship Fund for Inner-City Children)

The SFIC is a tuition assistance program for students who aspire to attend a private Catholic high school in the Archdiocese of Newark or the Diocese of Paterson, but lack the financial resources to do so. To be reviewed for this scholarship, you must apply through the SFIC link.
